Community Associations
Locally, we are working hard to strengthen our community associations. They are the building blocks of our organizing efforts in neighborhoods throughout the city and are essential to addressing critical issues affecting union members and their families.

PEOPLE FAQ
Which politicians have my PEOPLE dollars supported in 2000?
Another important political program is PEOPLE: "Public Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality." PEOPLE contributions are used to support federal elected officials who understand the needs and concerns of working families as well as AFSCME's lobbying efforts on issues such as welfare reform, privatization and pay equity. E-mail Pbernard@DC37.net to request a PEOPLE presentation.
